Works on paper

Lodovico Corsini is delighted to present Works on paper, the fourth chapter in a series of exhibitions dedicated to Belgian artist and architect René Heyvaert (1929-1984), showing previously unseen watercolours and gouaches made in the 1960s and 1970s. These works are closely connected to the artist's broader practice, reflecting his understanding of art as an open and continuous engagement with the world. Through repetition, subtle variation, and minimal interventions, the possibilities of geometry and colour become vessels for the poetic potential of the everyday. Custom frames were designed specifically for this occasion by renowned Belgian architect Paul Robbrecht, bringing his work into dialogue with René Heyvaert's œuvre.
