Basel Social Club

We are participating at Basel Social Club, presenting works by Nuri Koerfer and Josip Novosel.

Nuri Koerfer's sculptures explore familiar forms seeking a balance between functionality and dysfunction. Ornated with animal-like creatures, her works evoke an eerie and playful fantasy whilst simultaneously questioning ideas of utility, social roles, and self-awareness.

The paintings by Josip Novosel seem forged under pressure—staged scenes of masked figures, provocative gestures, and lingering tension, where labour, endurance, and abject presence demand acknowledgement.
